UX design for an audit platform

The client is an inspection company that operates in the fields of gas, electricity, water, and more.

Prior to our involvement, they relied on traditional methods such as paper-based records and manual data entry. The resulting process was time-consuming and error-prone, leading to lost information and inefficiencies.

To improve their operations, they approached us to develop a digital platform that would streamline their work and enhance overall efficiency.

Transforming Operations: Our Custom Audit Platform Solution

To create a digital platform that would revolutionize our client's operations, we started from scratch and designed an audit platform that was tailored to their specific needs.

Our user-centered design process included extensive research to understand the needs of our client's inspectors and other stakeholders. We developed wireframes and prototypes, and conducted rigorous usability testing to ensure that our platform was intuitive, user-friendly, and met the needs of our client's users.

By leveraging the latest technologies and industry best practices, we were able to create an audit platform that has transformed the way our client conducts inspections and manages their operations.

Research

To ensure that we develop the best possible digital platform for our client, we conduct thorough user research and competitor analysis. This involves gathering insights from users to understand their needs and preferences, as well as conducting a detailed analysis of the competitive landscape to identify areas of opportunity and gain a competitive advantage.

We conducted user interviews, observed their workflows, and reviewed their existing processes to identify areas for improvement.

We found that inspectors spent a significant amount of time filling out paperwork, tracking devices, and managing their vehicles. They also struggled to communicate with the office staff and were often disconnected from the information they needed to complete their work.

Design

Based on our research, we designed a platform that would help inspectors streamline their workflows and make their work more efficient. We created a dashboard that provided real-time information about inspections, vehicles, and devices. In addition, we designed a digital audit form to replace the outdated paper-based process, allowing for easier data entry and more accurate record-keeping. To further enhance the user experience, we integrated online maps to help inspectors locate inspection sites more easily and track their vehicles efficiently.

Interface

To ensure a seamless user experience, we focused on creating a user-friendly interface that was intuitive and easy to navigate. We used a clean and modern design style that made it easy for users to access the information they needed quickly. We also used clear language and straightforward messaging to ensure that users understood the purpose of each feature.

Testing

The testing part revealed that the app was especially helpful for inspectors who were able to complete inspections faster and communicate more easily with the office staff. The dashboard was also well-received, as it provided the office staff with real-time information about inspections, vehicles, and devices.

Implementation

After finalizing the design, we worked with the Gordion IT team to implement the platform. We provided training to the inspectors and office staff to ensure they were comfortable with the new system. We also provided ongoing support to address any issues that arose.

Final

The dashboard we developed provided real-time information about inspections, vehicles, and devices. After receiving feedback from users, we implemented an online signature function for the audit form and added statistics charts to the dashboard. With these updates, BelgateQ can now track important dates, analyze data, and improve daily operations. Our user-centered approach enabled us to deliver a platform that not only enhanced usability but also increased productivity and streamlined processes.
