Web Design and development
for an NGO

Fedactio Limburg is a non-profit organization that focuses on education, social cultural activities, communities and humanitarian services in Limburg region.

The organization had an outdated website and a different branding. The old website was difficult to navigate and did not effectively communicate its mission and impact to potential donors and volunteers.

They approached us with a requirement to build a website that would serve as a platform to showcase their work, accept donations and connect with volunteers.

Creating a responsive website from scratch

The client had no previous website and they required a website that was user-friendly, informative, and easy to navigate. The website also needed to be designed in a way that would appeal to a wide range of audiences, including potential donors, volunteers, and beneficiaries.

Our team worked closely with the client to understand their requirements and goals. We conducted a thorough analysis of their target audience, competition, and online presence to create a comprehensive plan for the website.

We created a custom website design that was modern, visually appealing, and easy to navigate. We ensured that the website was optimized for search engines to improve its visibility and reach.

Research

01

Our team conducted a series of meetings with the client to understand their vision, mission, and goals for the website. We asked questions to gain a deep understanding of the organization's history, services, and target audience. We also discussed the client's expectations for the website in terms of functionality, design, and content.

02

We conducted a thorough analysis of the NGO's competitors to identify their strengths and weaknesses. We evaluated the websites of similar NGOs and organizations in the education and social sectors. This helped us to understand the best practices in website design and functionality and to identify opportunities for differentiation.

03

We conducted keyword research to identify the most relevant keywords for the website's content. This helped us to optimize the website for search engines, improving its visibility and reach.
We also analyzed web analytics data from the client's previous online presence to gain insights into the audience's behavior and preferences.

Design

After conducting research and understanding the client's needs, our team developed a website structure that was user-friendly and easy to navigate. We created a home page that included a brief introduction to the organization, a call-to-action for donations, and a navigation menu that highlighted the main sections of the website.

News blog

We included a news blog section that allows the NGO to share updates about their activities, events, and achievements. The news blog was designed to be easily updated by the NGO staff, allowing them to add new posts, photos, and videos. The blog also includes a search function, allowing users to find specific posts or topics.

Event Calendar

To promote the NGO's events and activities, we included an event calendar on the website. The event calendar provides information about upcoming events and activities, such as fundraising events, volunteer activities, and educational programs. Users can view events by month or by category, and can RSVP directly through the website.

Visual Design

We created a custom design for the website that reflected the NGO's brand and values. The design incorporated the NGO's colors and logo, and used high-quality images to showcase the organization's work. The website was designed to be responsive, ensuring that it looks great on all devices, including desktops, tablets, and smartphones.

Final

We ensured that the website was optimized for search engines, with appropriate meta tags and descriptions. The website was built using a Content Management System (CMS), allowing the NGO staff to update content easily and manage the website efficiently.

Overall, our design process focused on creating a website that was visually appealing, user-friendly, and functional. The news blog, event calendar, and membership function were designed to engage users and promote the NGO's activities, while the overall design and functionality of the website was created to help the NGO achieve its goals.
